En plus, il porte un nom éminemment cannabique. Un petit dico français / anglais vous indiquera que « bush » signifie buisson, touffe… Ce qui fait que ce vocable est rapidement passé dans la sémantique cannabique.
Exemple (un must que vous retrouverez dans l’excellent album Frontline consacré à ce groupe – moins de 15€ normalement) : Les Gladiators / Stick a bush (album : Dreadlocks the time is now) :

Traduire « Every hoe ha dem » par « Everywhere i am….. Stick a bush ! ». Gros ou petit, long ou court, courbé ou droit, joli ou laid, c’est comme le zizi de P Perret (en plus fumeux). Et effectivement, il n’y a que derrière un stick que cette engeance (le père comme le fils) est supportable.
Il y a d'autres couplets intéressants, ça mériterait une explication de texte...

Erratum : il semblerait qu'il existe une traduction bien plus fidèle remontant à un vieux proverbe : « Every half-of-a-hoe has its stick in the bushes » qui n’aurait cette fois aucun rapport avec ce qui nous occupe… Et hop, on les expulse de notre base de données, sans regret, s’étant permis la promotion d’un album mythique…
